Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a purpose-built 5.5 km, 20-turn road course in Austin, Texas, and the home of the United States Grand Prix since it opened in 2012. It is famous for its steep uphill run to the blind, banked Turn 1 ('Big Red') and elevation changes inspired by classic European tracks. Permanent seating is around 120,000, with race-weekend attendance frequently cited near 150,000.
